Eastern Heart for Community Help (EHFCH) is a registered Christian Non-Profit Organization dedicated to transforming communities by empowering vulnerable children, youth, and families in poverty-stricken areas of Eastern Uganda. EHFCH promotes access to quality healthcare, education, vocational training, and talent development, providing holistic support to improve livelihoods and drive sustainable development. In 2020, the organization extended its outreach to include elderly individuals, offering food, healthcare, and essential supplies to support such vulnerable groups in the region.
To transform communities by demonstrating God’s love through the provision of healthcare, education, vocational training, and sustainable development programs, with a special focus on empowering youth, the girl child, and vulnerable groups.
EHFCH envisions a Uganda where underprivileged children, youth, and families live with dignity and hope, having access to quality healthcare, education, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Guided by Christian principles, we demonstrate God’s love through service, transforming lives and communities with compassion and hope.
We uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and stewardship in managing resources and implementing programs.
We are committed to promoting gender equality and ensuring that every individual, especially the girl child, has access to education, healthcare, and opportunities for growth.
We prioritize the safety, well-being, and rights of children, ensuring they are nurtured, educated, and protected from harm.
In the recent years
The unwavering dedication and support of partners and volunteers has been a driving force behind our success. Many have joined our campaigns to provide assistance to the elderly, orphans, and other vulnerable groups. Their support has amplified our mission and brought hope to countless lives.
Join us in transforming lives and communities—your support as a partner, donor, or volunteer can bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those who need it most. Together, we can make an even greater impact!"
Our contribution to positive change still continues...
Through our initiatives, we have created job opportunities for community members, including counselors for children, security personnel, cleaners, and cooks. This not only strengthens families but also fosters a sense of dignity and purpose.
January 2022
By January 2022, our primary-level sponsorship program had successfully sponsored or provided scholarships for over 100 orphans and vulnerable children. This support has given these children the opportunity to pursue their education and dream of a brighter future.
Our life-skilling program empowered over 20 youth, many of whom have started their own small businesses, creating sustainable income sources for themselves and their families.
July 2021
2021 was a pivotal year, as we gained the trust of funders and donors—God-sent destiny helpers who believed in our mission. Their unwavering support, including financial contributions, in-kind donations, and materials for our programs, greatly enhanced our capacity to serve. We also welcomed more volunteers from the United States, whose efforts enriched our skilling programs and extended our reach to more vulnerable communities.
January 2020
In 2020, volunteers from the United States and local supporters joined forces to launch a life-skilling program for youth. This initiative focused on equipping young people with practical skills such as construction, bricklaying, tailoring, and more.
We also expanded our reach to serve elderly individuals in Eastern Uganda, ensuring they received essential food supplies and care. This commitment to supporting the elderly continues to be a cornerstone of our efforts.
December 2019
In December 2019, we organized our first outreach program with the help of dedicated volunteers. Together, we supplied food, donated clothes, and other basic necessities to less privileged families in the suburbs of Jinja and surrounding rural areas. This marked the beginning of a movement fueled by compassion and generosity.
March 2018
Eastern Heart began as a community initiative in Jinja, Uganda, founded by Pr. Kasujja and his wife, aimed at aiding orphans and the underprivileged.
Empowered by our mission to demonstrate God’s love through action, we opened our doors in 2018. Our commitment to community transformation began with a clear focus on healthcare, education, vocational training, and sustainable development programs.
